About Stephanie Gauthier

Stephanie Gauthier is a composer of choral, vocal and instrumental concert music, as well as, music for film and other media.  She is also a classroom and private music teacher who specializes in choral and vocal music and technique.  She is a trained classical singer and obtained a Bachelor of Music from the University of Ottawa in both Composition and Voice Performance.   Presently, she is studying choral conducting at the University of Ottawa with Professor Laurence Ewashko.  Stephanie loves writing music of all kinds including choral and vocal music, as well as, instrumental works for chamber ensembles and orchestra.  In the classroom, Stephanie uses her many years experience as a singer and composer to arrange and compose choral music ideally suited for young voices.

 

Also, Stephanie discovered a love for composing for film and media completing the Graduate Diploma (DESS) in film music at L'Université de Québec à Montréal which provided her with extensive training in the art of writing music for film. She composed music for various audio-visual mediums including for a documentary film produced in conjunction with the National Film Office of Canada.  Familiar with the latest music technology, Stephanie is fully equipped to create music for film and other media.   For her private voice and piano student, Stephanie often creates full orchestral arrangements customized for the student as a backing track. Through her various educational and professional opportunities, Stephanie has developed a unique and creative style musical style well suited to both concert works, as well as, works for film and other media. Also, Stephanie loves discovering new music technology that can help her music students and help with her own musical projects. Choral music and vocal music. Also, composing and arranging music for choir ensembles, orchestra, chamber music ensembles as well as, music for corporate media, computer-based music compositions, and original music in a variety of styles.
